The Estimation of household electricity consumption gap in high-consumption provinces of Iran

Abstract

Electricity is one of the most widely used energy carriers, and its application in the world is increasing rapidly and it is one of the most consuming households in the consumer sector. In this research, it is tried to introduce the concept of spatial econometrics using panel data of 20 provinces of the country and while presenting practical models of this technique to estimate the household electricity consumption gap using the space camera model (SDM), This model has been done in the research with the help of the parent test. Also, the time period used in this study is from 2006 to 2018. according to the results, the hypothesis of this study confirmed that electricity prices have a negative and significant effect on domestic electricity consumption in the province. by observing the efficiency of electricity consumption in the home sector of the province (which consume more than optimal consumption), it can be used to provide more convenient services to households and more accurate utilization of resources.
